About Charles
Charles Verrier has spent 25 years in the IT industry - most of that working with the accountancy profession.
Through his time with MICL, Viztopia Software, Solution 6, and latterly, MYOB, Charles has performed a wide range of roles, including:
Hardware & network installation/maintenance
Technical support & training
Database design and development
Commercial accounting software consulting
Bespoke SOP/POP systems
Infrastructure & email system design/implementation
Document Manangement design/implementation/training
For eight years, Charles was Product Manager for Information Management at MYOB UK. He had overall responsibility for MYOB's 'Singleview' document mangement system, as well as for the company's UK strategy on Intranets & Extranets. Charles personally consulted, implemented, and trained the first 60 or so Singleview implementations, and wrote the training courses and documentation for the product.

At all times, the question must be asked :- "What are we trying to achieve?
Charles has worked with hundreds of practices of all sizes from sole traders to national firms, and across the UK and Ireland. He has presented at many seminars and conferences, including for MRI Group, JHI International, Mercia, UK200, and an AccountingWeb breakfast seminar.
Charles's breadth of experience allows him to offer a holistic view on IT strategy issues, which can often founder as a result of failure to consider how one part of the puzzle can impact others.
Charles is married with two young daughters, who have him wrapped around their little fingers. In his spare time, he is a keen lapsed fencer (no, not the kind around your garden). His home has four PC's, two servers, three printers, three scanners, and is fully CAT5 networked. His wife has infinite patience....
